FASD is an emerging, growing area of SEN, impacting on more schools and educational establishments across the UK, yet resources, training and information for educators in the UK remains sparse. We are determined to change this situation and so we are very excited to be launching the first stage of our Kite Marking Programme to be called "FASD Aware."
In order to gain this status, educational establishments need to appoint an FASD in Education Champion; need to train a specified proportion of their staff; complete a self-assessement and then be visted by one of our Assessors.
There are costs associated with this process depending on the size of the school. Please contact us for for details or to express your interest in obtaining this statuts.
